Stock market update: FMCG stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading higher on Friday at 10:04AM

Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(up 5.53%), EIFFL(up 4.99%), Future Consumer(up 2.01%), Nakoda Group(up 1.99%), ADF Foods(up 1.06%), Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(up 1.05%), Prataap Snacks(up 0.71%), Emami(up 0.62%), Dangee Dums(up 0.50%) and Bajaj Consumer(up 0.40%) were among the top gainers.

JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(down 2.11%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.71%), Gillette India(down 0.64%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.24%), Nestle India(down 0.24%), DFM Foods(down 0.16%), Jyothy Labs(down 0.15%), Varun Beverages(down 0.14%), Godrej Consumer Products(down 0.12%) and Britannia Industries(down 0.12%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 102.1 points up at 17892.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 340.23 points at 60018.06 at around 10:04AM.

Tata Steel(up 2.12%), Tata Motors(up 1.78%), Wipro(up 1.51%), Reliance Industries(up 1.41%), Hindalco Industries(up 1.3%), Cipla(up 1.28%), Eicher Motors(up 1.2%), Infosys(up 1.19%), Tata Consultancy(up 1.13%) and Grasim Industries(up 1.06%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Coal India(down 1.89%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.65%), Divis Laboratories(down 0.33%), Nestle India(down 0.23%), Shree Cement(down 0.18%), Britannia Industries(down 0.14%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.12%), Maruti Suzuki(down 0.04%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 0.02%) and Asian Paints(down 0.02%) were trading in the red.
