UBS said it focused on stocks where its analysts had a “truly differentiated view versus the consensus” and where it had interesting or proprietary data sources.
The analysts chose stocks that scored well across multiple areas and with exposure to key investing themes for next year. They use what is dubbed the UBS Research Thesis Map for each stock which outlines the pivotal questions driving the stock, what’s priced in by current market expectations, the UBS view of why the market may be wrong, new evidence, the potential upside versus downside, and upcoming catalysts to watch.
