- WWE legend Edge has confirmed his retirement plans
- The WWE Hall of Famer plans to retire in August 2023
- Edge had made his in-ring return in January 2020
After Raw went off the air, Edge interacted with the fans in attendance and confirmed his retirement plans. The 11-time World Champion revealed that he plans to retire in August 2023 after performing in front of his home crowd.
“He definitely hinted, I think he would want to retire in Toronto and choose his own way of retiring as opposed to being forced like the last time.”
Interestingly, it was in Canada that Edge teased coming out of retirement when he speared Elias at SummerSlam 2019. He made his full-time in-ring return at Royal Rumble 2020. Edge hasn’t won a title since his WWE return but has main-evented premium live events, including Wrestlemania 37.
Edge had to retire from in-ring action after Wrestlemania 27 due to neck issues.
