Dow's nearly 350-point fall led by losses for shares of American Express, Apple

Shares of American Express and Apple are trading lower Friday afternoon, leading the Dow Jones Industrial Average selloff. Shares of American Express AXP, -3.35% and Apple AAPL, -3.22% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -1.34% was most recently trading 340 points (1.1%) lower. American Express’s shares are off $4.60 (3.3%) while those of Apple have declined $4.08 (2.9%), combining for an approximately 57-point drag on the Dow. Chevron CVX, -3.11%, Caterpillar CAT, -2.70%, and Goldman Sachs GS, -2.31% are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
