Shares of Home Depot and Verizon have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline, as the Dow was most recently trading 57 points lower (-0.2%). Home Depot’s shares are down $6.51, or 2.0%, while those of Verizon have fallen $0.76 (1.8%), combining for an approximately 48-point drag on the Dow. Nike Caterpillar and McDonald’s are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow results in a 6.59-point swing.
