Asian Paints
The Competition Competition of India (CCI) has ordered an investigation against Asian Paints for alleged abuse of its dominant position in the decorative paints market, following a complaint by the Aditya Birla Group’s paints division, Birla Opus Paints. The competition watchdog said it found prima facie violations of the various sections of the Competition Act by Asian Paints and ordered the director general (investigation) to probe the matter in detail.
JSW Energy
JSW Energy has signed a battery energy storage purchase agreement with Rajasthan Vidyut Utpadan Nigam for a 250 MW / 500 MWh standalone battery energy storage system. The agreement signed via JSW Renew Energy Thirty Seven, a step-down subsidiary of of the company, requires JSW Energy to set up the energy storage projects under the Build, Own and Operate model of Rajasthan.
Paras Defence and Space Technologies
Paras Defence and Space Technologies has received a letter of intent for an order worth Rs 22.21 crore from the French defence company Cerbair. In a filing exchange, Paras Defence said that it has received the Letter of Interest for 30 units of CHIMERA 200, an anti-drone technology.
V-Mart Retail
V-Mart Retail posted a strong set of numbers in Q1 FY25. The company reported a 12.6% year-on-year increase in total revenue from operations, reaching Rs 885 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, up from Rs 786 crore in the same period last year. This growth was supported by a modest Same Store Sales Growth (SSSG) of 1%, signalling stable demand in existing locations while newer stores begin to scale.
Ceigall India
Ceigall India said its subsidiary, Ceigall Northern Ayodhya Bypass Pvt. Ltd., has secured a Rs 1,199.30 crore road project from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The contract involves the construction of a 4/6 lane northern Ayodhya bypass with a total length of 35.40 km in Uttar Pradesh.
Nazara Technologies
Nazara Technologies’ subsidiary Nodwin Gaming has completed the acquisition of a 92.3% stake in AFK Gaming Pvt Ltd. According to a regulatory filing by Nazara Technologies, the acquisition was executed through a share purchase agreement dated December 18, 2024, between Nodwin, the founders of AFK Gaming — Nishant Patel, Rakesh Ramchandran, and Siddharth Nayyar, and other shareholders.
Lupin
Lupin announced that it has received approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) for its abbreviated new drug application (ANDA) for loteprednol etabonate ophthalmic gel, 0.38%.

Megasoft’s board has approved the proposed sale of the company’s entire 36.52% stake in Extrovis AG, Switzerland, for a total consideration of $15 million (approximately Rs 128.4 crore).
Trident
Trident received a show cause notice from the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Commissionerate in Ludhiana for alleged tax dues of Rs 51.87 crore, including interest and penalty. The notice pertains to discrepancies in input tax credit (ITC) reconciliation and suppression of outward tax liability based on differences between e-way bills and GST returns for the financial years 2018–19 to 2020–21.
