(Gray News) – President Joe Biden hosted a kickoff of the “Investing in America” content series at the White House in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday.
The series is focusing on various efforts the White House has made to encourage investments in manufacturing and jobs nationwide. A White House website devoted to the data lists points of interest throughout the country.
Among those Biden spoke to was a cancer patient.
The White House said investments of about $910 billion were supported by four laws passed by Congress during the Biden administration, the American Rescue Plan, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, CHIPS For America and the Inflation Reduction Act.
Biden is highlighting the accomplishments of his administration as he enters his final months in office.
He abandoned his reelection bid this summer and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as Democratic nominee in his stead. She was officially nominated last month.
Her Republican opponent is Donald Trump, Biden’s predecessor.
