Türkiye’s Stock Index Edges Up 0.76 Percent on Tuesday

(MENAFN) Türkiye’s leading stock market index, the BIST 100, kicked off Tuesday trading at 9,077.01 points, marking an increase of 0.76%, or 68.14 points, compared to the previous session’s close.

On Monday, the index had slipped slightly by 0.12%, closing at 9,008.87 points with a daily trading volume reaching 72.3 billion Turkish liras (approximately $1.84 billion).

By 9:50 am local time (0650 GMT), currency exchange rates were recorded at 39.1850 liras per US dollar, 44.8250 liras per euro, and 53.0890 liras per British pound.

Meanwhile, gold prices were at $3,354.20 per ounce, and Brent crude oil was trading at $64.65 per barrel.
